Dressmaker is a small, gentle dressmaking game about taking a client's brief and turning it into a finished dress. You work through four hands-on stages — drawing the design, cutting the pattern out of fabric, assembling it on the mannequin, and sewing the seams — and every choice you make feeds the score at the end.
This browser version is a faithful port of the original Dressmaker game: it uses the original artwork, music and sound effects, the real garment patterns, and the same scoring formulas. There is nothing to install and no account to create — click Play and you are in the boutique.
How to play Dressmaker
- Sketch the design. In the sketchbook, cycle through bodices, skirts, sleeves and collars, pick fabric swatches and drag them onto the page. The tags on the page are an estimate of how well your design matches the brief.
- Cut the pattern. In the cutting room, drag each pattern piece onto the fabric and rotate it until the grain line runs with the weave — a straight grain means a higher quality garment. Then cut with the scissors.
- Assemble & sew. Place the cut pieces on the mannequin and sew each seam. Keep the needle steady: the accuracy of your stitching becomes part of the final score.
- Deliver the dress. Head back to the front desk and hand it over. Beat the quality target and every required style tag and the client is happy — plus you earn gold and unlock new fabrics.

- Left click / drag — pick up and move pattern pieces, drag fabric swatches, place pieces on the mannequin.
- Right click or middle drag — pan the cutting table.
- Scroll wheel — rotate the mannequin.
- Space — run the sewing machine; arrow keys steer the needle.
- Esc — pause menu (volume, restart, save and quit).
